Here's a simple recipe for making a chicken roll:
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of cheese
- Toothpicks
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).Flatten each chicken breast by pounding it with a meat mallet or rolling pin. Season each breast with olive oil, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each chicken breast. Roll up the chicken tightly, tucking in the ends to create a neat roll.
Secure each roll with a few toothpicks to keep them closed.
Heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken rolls and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Transfer the chicken rolls to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
